This is our Dog Mentor, Molly. The Dog Mentor programme provides our children with positive experiences with a dog that can help them educationally, developmentally, emotionally and socially.
The programme supports our children’s needs in many ways, such as through speech and language sessions, hearing children read, or simply being there when needed.
There has been alot of research into having dogs in school and the proven benefits include the fact that dogs teach the children about responsibility, patience, compassion, socialisation, they are also comforting and fun.
